Click for: WEBPAGE INDEXDue to a lot of emails arriving see if you can put in the subject line as much as possible eg feedback, tests, problems, ljet4, I can see 25 characters on YAM, so fit it in there, you can omit the word GS8. abbreviate even, eg: Feedbk,Test,Probs,Ljet4 is 23 chars! If you attach any files put eg files at the start of the subject as it isnt always clear if files are attached. Something which helps me to locate the email at a later stage on YAM. Eg some things in emails need me to contact the sender at a later point. If someone has only sent one email then I usually know which email to look for when I need to contact that person. But if there are several then I start to lose track of which email said what and have to re-read the lot. I have been receiving a lot of interesting emails from all over the planet: Sweden, Italy, Canada, some dont say where they are from! I try to give a very high priority to first time emails, which I try to give a speedy response. Anyway the emails prove to me that I did the right thing in doing this port + download. Also that I was correct in breaking with convention eg in creating 3 assigns rather than the traditional incomprehensible directory structure. I intend to break with convention anywhere and everywhere that it may make the product more usable. If anyone knows of any PD program that enables viewing of jpegs from the shell command line eg prog xyz.jpeg which would display the jpeg either on WB or a custom screen. I am thinking of modifying -sDEVICE=jpeg with an extra line that could call the viewer to view the jpeg. Also is there such a viewer suitable for people with graphics cards (24 bit?). In the meantime I'll try to do it with Multiview. By viewing via redefinable viewer, some 3rd party out there might write a really decent jpeg viewer for GS8. I would certainly make such downloadable from the website. The viewer would just need to be run as in the command above.
